America's Fastest Growing Bowl Game

College football boasts one of the most passionate fan bases in the nation and each year the Valero Alamo Bowl showcases two of the premier conferences in the country, the Big 12 and Pac-10. The bowl has quickly become one of the most popular bowls in the country, producing three of the top six most-watched bowl games in ESPN history while selling out three of the last four years. In fact the 2010 game is the most watched bowl game in ESPN history and the 2007 Valero Alamo Bowl is the Alamodome's most attended sporting event in its history. The Valero Alamo Bowl also has a growing track record of hosting neutral site games like the 1997, 1999 and 2007 Dr Pepper Big 12 Championships, the AT&T Corps Classic between Texas A&M and Army in 2006 and the Notre Dame vs. Washington State in 2009.

Just The Beginning

But the big game is just the beginning. More than 125 sponsors, 500 volunteers and 75,000 fans participate in the Valero Alamo Bowl's year long Community Festival of Events that includes golf tournament, gala, kickoff luncheon, fan zone interactive area, hospitality village, high school football games, a pep rally, concert and much more. In 2004 and 2006, the Downtown Alliance/San Antonio recognized the Alamo Bowl and its related events as San Antonio`s "Best Downtown Event." The bowl's award-winning calendar of events and community relations activities provides sponsors a platform to develop a partnership that meets their specific needs. Whether a company wants to increase brand loyalty, create awareness, drive traffic or enhance vendor/employee/elected official relations, the bowl work to develop a mutually beneficial partnership.
